Join renowned taiko artist Eri Uchida for a comprehensive 9-session online intensive focused on mastering the katsugi.
This in-depth program is designed for players looking to refine their katsugi technique, from foundational posture and fluid movement to more advanced rhythmic phrasing and dynamic expression. Each 1.5-hour session, beginning in November and concluding in January (with breaks for the holidays), will blend detailed instruction, body awareness, and guided practice all delivered through Eri’s holistic and patient teaching approach. Whether you’re new to katsugi or seeking to elevate your existing skills, this series offers a structured yet personalized path to technical confidence and artistic growth.
Beyond the live sessions, participants will receive access to recorded classes for three months after the course ends, allowing you to review, practice, and progress at your own pace. For those desiring extra support, Eri will offer optional small group and individual coaching sessions for personalized feedback and deeper refinement in an intimate setting. This online intensive is a great chance to train closely with one of the taiko world’s most sought-after instructors, connect with a global community of drummers, and emerge with stronger technique, and a renewed passion for katsugi taiko from the comfort of your living room!
